DTC B1663: Inspection

EXT_R+, EXT_R- Shorted Wire Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• 1. -

     Body control module connector F (36P): disconnected

  2. -

     Rear shelf LF antenna 2P connector: disconnected

• Procedure
• 1. -

     Perform the inspection according to the following table.

			(Disconnected)Body control module connector F (36P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	EXT_R+, EXT_R- shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MOhm
	NOTE:  Refer to: Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	EXT_R+ shorted to ground inspection	OFF		Not shorted
	EXT_R- shorted to ground inspection	OFF		Not shorted

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Body Control Module Inspection 

Preconditions 

NOTE:  This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

• External circuit is normal

Test Procedure

• 1. -

     Rear shelf LF antenna 2P connector: disconnected

• Procedure
• 1. -

     Perform the inspection according to the following table.

			(Disconnected) Rear shelf LF antenna 2P connector female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	Module internal circuit inspection	ON*1		Voltage

*1: If the matter whether the vehicle mode ON or OFF (LOCK) because of the permanent power supply.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the body control module.

Rear Shelf LF Antenna Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining rear shelf LF antenna is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the rear shelf LF antenna.
