Be careful not to burn yourself by the hot part.
NOTICE:
- Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.
- When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.
- The replacing transmission has a suitable amount of ATF, but the ATF needs to be adjusted according to the specifications. When replacing the transmission, be sure to check the ATF level and adjust the ATF level as necessary.

Preconditions
Procedure/Specifications
1. Remove the drain plug (a) with the sealing washer (b), and drain the ATF.
2. Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer.
3. Remove the filler plug (c) with the sealing washer (d).
4. Refill the transmission with the recommended fluid through the filler plug hole (e).
NOTE:- Using the wrong type of fluid will damage the transmission.
- Overfilling or underfilling the fluid will damage the transmission.

- Maintenance Minder Reset (With Maintenance Minder System)NOTE:
If the Maintenance Minder required to replace the ATF, reset the Maintenance Minder with the gauge (see "Resetting the Maintenance Minder") . If the Maintenance Minder did not require to replace the ATF, reset the Maintenance Minder with the HDS (see "Resetting Individual Maintenance Items") .
