PCM Update: Procedure

How to use this service information .

NOTICE:  When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

1. PCM - Update

   Preconditions 

   • Engine Cooled Down

     NOTICE:  High temperatures in the engine compartment might cause the PCM to become too hot to run the update. If the engine has been running before this procedure, open the hood and cool the engine compartment.

   • HDS Connected

   Procedure 

   • Update the PCM.

   NOTICE:  Check any official service information website for more information about updating control units.

   NOTE:

   • About ECU Reprogramming (Update)
   • If there are other control unit that need to be updated, they will be automatically selected on the update screen and cannot be deselected.
   • Before updating, check the work information of each control unit.

   After Updating 

   1. PCM Idle Learning  2. CKP Pattern Clearing/Learning  (3.5 L Engine)
