Removal And Installation: Module

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the left cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the radio/entertainment telematics module. Refer to MODULE, RADIO/ENTERTAINMENT TELEMATICS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Working above the steering column (1a), remove the fasteners (1b) to release the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) and bracket (1c).
5. Lower the TBM2 (1c) to disconnect the wire harness connectors (2a). Then remove the TBM2 (1c) from the vehicle.

6. If necessary, remove the fasteners (1a) and separate the TBM2 (1b) from the TBM2 bracket (1c).

INSTALLATION

1. If separated, position the TBM2 (1b) to the TBM2 bracket (1c), install the fasteners (1a) and tighten the fasteners securely.

2. Connect the wire harness connectors (2a) to the TBM2 (1c).
3. Position the TBM2 (1c) in place above the steering column (1a).
4. Install the fasteners (1b) to retain the TBM2 (1c) and tighten the fasteners securely.
5. Install the radio/entertainment telematics module. Refer to MODULE, RADIO/ENTERTAINMENT TELEMATICS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Install the left cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
