Bleeding Procedures
CAUTION:
DO NOT add DOT 5 (silicone type) brake fluid to brake fluid in vehicle. DO NOT allow brake fluid to contact paint.
When bleeding brake system, open brake bleeder screws in sequence:
- Right rear wheel.
- Right front wheel.
- Left rear wheel.
- Left front wheel.
On vehicles with height-sensitive brake pressure regulator, press regulator lever firmly toward rear axle when bleeding. About 1/2 qt. (500 cc) of brake fluid is expelled from each wheel when bleeding entire system. Before driving vehicle, depress brake pedal several times to ensure brakes are working correctly.
