Data Link Connector: Testing and Inspection

CHECKING DATA LINK CONNECTOR

- Check for voltage supply at Data Link Connector (DLC) A (Black) in vehicle, observe polarity while performing this check:
^ Terminal 1 goes to Battery negative (-)
^ Terminal 2 goes to Battery positive (+) (fuse 19)

- If battery voltage is not obtained, check wiring using wiring diagram, repair or replace as necessary.

- Check wiring for continuity between ECM and DLC.

DLC connector B (White)
^ Terminal 1 goes to C 13 of the ECM
^ Terminal 2 goes to C 12 of the ECM

DLC connector C (Blue)
^ Terminal 2 goes to C 14 of the ECM

- If there is no continuity, check wiring using wiring diagram, repair or replace as necessary.
