Checking Fluid Level

Depending on the version installed, use either 3357 triple square socket driver or a 17 mm to loosen the oil filler plug.

NOTE: Transmission and bevel box are filled together through the oil filler hole in the transmission.

Check oil in transmission with bevel box. To check oil level, unscrew oil filler plug (arrow). See Fig 1. Top up transmission oil if necessary. Fill oil level up to lower edge of filler hole. For recommended fluid, see RECOMMENDED FLUID . Install oil filler plug. Tighten to 30 Nm.

When filling with new oil and after removing or installing the bevel box note the following: Remove plug (arrow). See Fig 1. Top up oil to lower edge of filler hole. For recommended fluid, see RECOMMENDED FLUID . Install oil filler plug.

Start engine, engage gear and allow transmission to turn for approx. 2 minutes. Stop engine and remove plug (arrow). Top up oil to lower edge of filler hole again. Install oil filler plug. Tighten to 30 Nm.
