Removal & Installation TT
- Remove screw cap from middle of door panel by inserting a small pin through hole on bottom of switch trim. Press pin and lug slightly up and at same time turn screw cap counterclockwise and remove cap. Remove screw under cap. See Fig 2
and Fig 3
. Unclip 7 retaining clips. Lift door panel up and remove from door.
- Move window up to completely closed position. Remove 3 bolts from power window motor and remove harness connector. Remove power window motor. To install motor, reverse removal procedure. Tighten mounting screws to 27 INCH lbs. (3 N.m).
- Mark locations of inner door subframe retaining bolts, nuts and other areas so subframe can be put back in same place. Remove 4 Torx bolts and remove window. Remove one nut at front of door frame. Remove one nut from bottom of door frame. Remove 4 bolts from bottom of door frame. Lift up and remove inner door subframe.
- Remove window regulator seal. Remove one bolt from window regulator. See Fig 1
. Drill out 7 rivets from window regulator and remove window regulator.
- To install reverse removal procedure. Lubricate window regulator seal with soap. All clip locators must be clipped in place before installing door trim. When installing door handle cable, make sure hook is facing upward.
