Brake Light Switch

Brake light switch is located on brake pedal. Aside from sending signal to brake lights, switch also signals ECM when pedal is applied. For safety reasons, throttle valve operation is suppressed when brake pedal is pressed. If brake pedal and accelerator pedal are pressed simultaneously, engine speed is immediately regulated to idle speed. A faulty switch can lead to undesired throttle regulation.
