Steering Column Switch: Notes

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for working around airbags. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . If these procedures are not observed, the airbag system may not function properly during vehicle operation.

NOTE: Before removing steering wheel, wheels must be positioned in the straight-ahead position.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ESP sensor in airbag slip ring must be calibrated after installation. See ZEROING STEERING ANGLE SENSOR in ABS/TRACTION CONTROL & ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM article in BRAKES.
