Checking Fluid Levels: Notes
CAUTION:
Only ATF available as replacement part may be used in automatic transmission 09G. Other oils cause faults and/or breakdown of transmission. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS

CAUTION:
DO NOT start engine when there is very little or no ATF left in transmission following a repair or as a result of massive loss of ATF. Fill transmission first with 4.5-5.0 liters of ATF.
NOTE:
ATF level will vary according to temperature. If ATF level is checked when ATF temperature is too low, overfilling may result. If ATF level is checked when AFT is too high, under filling may result. Overfilling or under filling will impair function of transmission. ATF temperature appears in display of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
