CAUTION:

Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.
On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526 service mode before disconnecting Battery A → Service mode, activating/deactivating .

If the Battery A is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the Battery A → - 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL . Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526 service mode → Service mode, activating/deactivating .

Only use Radio R and components from the Audi program because this is the only way to ensure problem-free installation and optimal reception.

All Radios R are coded to Comfort in the instrument cluster (anti-theft coding). When removing and installing the same Radio R , coding is not necessary after disconnecting voltage supply when removing and installing the same instrument cluster.

Radio generation II+ introduced from KW 45/06.

This used two tuners with "phase diversity" for reception.

Further removal steps are the same as with the "Symphony" radio.

If "Transport" appears in the display after switching on the Radio R , transport mode must be deactivated.

Diagnosis is performed using "Guided Fault-Finding".

Repairs on antenna wires → - 97 WIRING .

Repair to CAN bus lines → - 97 WIRING .
