Selector Lever Position P Locking Lever, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Insert the locking lever and secure it with both left and right bearing bushings -2-.

-- Make sure the locking lever is working correctly.

The emergency release lever -arrow- must move easily and can be moved up and down.

NOTE:

If will be difficult to move emergency release lever -arrow- if the bushings are installed incorrectly.

If the emergency release lever is difficult to move, ignition key removal lock will not work.

-- Install the shift gate. Refer to SHIFT GATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
