SERVICE INFORMATION
When performing any Software update, it is necessary to turn "OFF" the Bluetooth connection and hard wire the dongle. It is possible that the update will fail if the dongle is not hard wired. The affected module may require replacement as a consequence. All update instructions require the dongle to be hardwired.
Here are the recommended Bluetooth disabling instructions for the 6150A, 6150B and the 6160A.
6150A;
Shutting off the Bluetooth on the 6150A is done by the switch behind the handle. This will also shut off the Wi-Fi and you will need to hard wire the internet connection. Once this is done start ODIS and perform the update.
6150B, 6160A;
On the and 6150B and 6160A go to the bottom right of the screen and click on the Wireless Utility Icon then click on Bluetooth Power OFF. If the Dongle is hard wired it may take a few seconds for the vehicle to connect to the scan tool. Once the connection is re-established perform the software update.
