Overview - External Multimedia Devices

There are several External Audio Source Connection -R199- versions:

AMI (Audi Music Interface), UF7
AMI (Audi Music Interface) - USB charging, AUX IN, UE4
AMI (Audi Music Interface) - USB connection (quantity: 2), AUX IN, ASI, UI2
Rear AMI (Audi Music Interface)

The External Audio Source Connection -R199- is part of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

The interface -2-, 30-Pin Connector -T30b- is located under the front center armrest.

Various devices can be connected.

The interface -1- is located under the front center armrest.

The USB port is used to charge USB devices.

Various devices can be connected to the AUX IN jack. Suitable adapter cables are required. Refer to the appropriate service/repair/system information.

Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
