Engine, Supporting In Installed Position: Procedure

Risk of accident due to shifting the engine weight.

The transmission and tunnel crossmember must be installed for the following support method.

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to REMOVING .

-- Remove the left and right upper longitudinal member -2-, refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .

-- Mount the Engine Support Bridge 10 - 222 A with the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Component 4 T40091/4, Component 5 T40091/5, Engine Support Brackets - Component 7 T40093/7 and Engine Support Brackets - Component 8 T40093/8 on the left and right suspension strut towers as shown.

-- Attach the Engine Support Bridge - Spindles 10 - 222 A/11 to the engine lifting eyes and pre-tension the engine slightly.
