Engine, Securing On Engine And Transmission Holder

- Lifting Tackle 3033
- Engine And Transmission Holder VAS 6095 with Bracket for 12 cyl. TDI engine 2011> VAS 6095/1-12
- Shop Crane VAS 6100
- Lift Arm Extension VAS 6101
- Hose Clip Pliers VAS 6362
Procedure
- Engine/transmission subassembly removed; engine and transmission separated, refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .
- Engine secured with Articulated Joint Support VAS 6131/13-7.
-- Engage the Lifting Tackle 3033 on the engine lifting eyes and on the Shop Crane VAS 6100 with Lift Arm Extension VAS 6101 as shown in the illustration.
-- Tension engine slightly with shop crane, do not raise.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from the left engine mount.
-- Remove the right engine mount bolt -2-.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Remove the Articulated Joint Support VAS 6131/13-7 from the engine.
-- Raise engine from engine carrier.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the left engine support.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the right engine support.
-- Secure the starter on the engine.
-- Attach the engine using the Bracket for 12 cyl. TDI engine 2011> VAS 6095/1-12 to the Engine And Transmission Holder VAS 6095 to 40 Nm, as shown in the illustration.
