Power Window Regulators, Checking Position

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, 2013 Volkswagen Touareg, 2012 Volkswagen Touareg, and 2011 Volkswagen Touareg. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:

After disconnecting and connecting the battery (in luggage compartment and / or under front left seat) the excess force limitation of electric windows does not function. This can cause serious injuries if, for example, fingers are caught in the window!

NOTE:

After disconnecting and connecting the vehicle battery (in luggage compartment and / or under front left seat) the automatic opening and closing features for the electric windows do not function.

Therefore, the electric windows must be positioned again immediately, before a new vehicle is delivered.

The vehicle battery must not be disconnected after the electric windows have been positioned.

The window regulator mount of separate or multiple windows can be restored at the same time.

Perform The Following Procedure To Position The Power Window Regulator:

-- Close all doors and windows completely.

-- Switch on the ignition.

-- Pull the button for the window upward and hold it for at least one second in this position.

-- Release the button and then pull it again and hold it.

The one-touch up/one-touch down feature is now ready to be used.
