Overview - Selector Mechanism
WARNING:
There is a risk of injury and accident from accidentally engaging a gear when the engine is running.
- Before work is done with the engine running, move the selector lever into "P" and press the parking brake button to engage the electromechanical parking brake.
Before disassembling the selector mechanism, perform check, refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM, CHECKING .

- Transmission Park Selector Switch -F305-
- Consists of two micro-switches on the circuit board on the Shift Lock Solenoid - N110-.
- Can only be replaced together with the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, refer to SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Removing and installing, refer to SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- via the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587- with Tiptronic Switch -F189-
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER SENSOR SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE -J587-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
