AGM Battery, Checking

Working When the Ignition May Not Be On, refer to WORKING WHEN THE IGNITION MAY NOT BE ON .

CAUTION:

The crash safety is reduced if an incorrect battery is installed.

Always replace an AGM battery with another AGM battery if that is what the vehicle originally had installed. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

AGM batteries are marked with "AGM".

The AGM battery is closed, needs no further maintenance, and must not be opened.

Perform a visual inspection of the battery:

Corrosion on The Battery Pole
Battery Terminal and Battery Secure
Damage to the Battery Terminals and Housing

NOTE:

It is not necessary to remove the housing when visually inspecting. Check only the visible areas and the contact areas of the battery.
