Battery A: Checking Battery Charge

NOTE:

The battery test applies to all vehicles, including the hybrid.

-- Follow these steps in sequential order.

Connect VAS 50XX/60XX

Guided Fault Finding or Guided Functions
Select brand and type.
Service Work
Check the battery -A-.
Continue following the instructions.
Send the diagnostic protocol online.

NOTE:

If tester display shows charge or replace battery, refer to BATTERY

Auxiliary Battery A1: Checking Battery Charge

NOTE:

Only on hybrid vehicles:

Second battery A1 is located inside the spare wheel well very close to battery A. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE COMPONENTS AND CABLES OVERVIEW .

Check the auxiliary battery -A1-.
