Digital Sound System Control Module -J525-, Removing And Installing, MMI: Removing

-- Remove The Left Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

The Infotainment rack can only be removed once the convertible top hydraulic pump in the luggage compartment is moved.

-- Loosen the retaining bracket on the hydraulic pump and necessary connectors, refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT (HYDRAULIC PUMP), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Swivel the hydraulic pump in the luggage compartment.

-- Loosen the nuts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4- on the infotainment rack -6-.

-- Swivel the rack -6- in the luggage compartment.

-- Disconnect the MOST bus connector -4- from the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- -1-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps :VAS6223/9  -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3- from the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- -1-.

-- Loosen the bolts -arrows- on the rack -2- and remove the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- -1- from the luggage compartment.
