Component Group "2"
- Left Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G385-
- Equipped on some models, only installed on a vehicle with a "Low" A/C system
- On a vehicle with a "High" A/C system no Left Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G385- is installed here. The opening in the air duct is closed with a plug.
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
- Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT FRONT UPPER BODY VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G385-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, "HIGH" A/C SYSTEM
.NOTE:
On a vehicle with a "High" A/C system the Left Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G385- is installed in the air duct to the left instrument panel vent. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - COMPONENTS INSIDE FRONT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, LEFT SIDE OF PASSENGER COMPARTMENT .
- Condensation Water Drains (Left and Right)
- Checking. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester and CONDENSATION WATER DRAIN, CHECKING .
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CONDENSATION WATER DRAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-
- The Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- is currently only installed on vehicles with a diesel engine. Refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER, TESTING
.NOTE:
For specific vehicles with a gasoline engine can depending on the version and the market in the future an Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- can also be installed (introduction not yet finalized).
- If a parking heater is installed as optional equipment is activated as an auxiliary heater in vehicles with a diesel engine, no Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- is installed. Refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER, TESTING .
- On vehicles without an Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, the opening in the heater and A/C unit is sealed with a cap. Refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Check the function of the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-. Refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER, TESTING .

- The Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- is currently only installed on vehicles with a diesel engine. Refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER, TESTING

- Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G262-
- Equipped on some models, only installed on a vehicle with a "High" A/C system
- On a vehicle with a "Low" A/C system (or no A/C system) the Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G262- is not installed The opening in the heater and A/C unit is not present or is closed with a plug.
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function
- Removing and Installing. Refer to RIGHT FOOTWELL VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G262-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -G263-
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
- Removing and Installing. Refer to EVAPORATOR VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G263-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Right Side Heater and A/C Unit

- Air Duct for Glove Compartment Cooling
- Equipped on some models, not installed on all vehicles (optional equipment, depending on the vehicle version). Refer to AIR GUIDE FOR GLOVE COMPARTMENT COOLING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Right Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G386-
- Equipped on some models, only installed on a vehicle with a "High" A/C system
- On a vehicle with a "Low" A/C system (or no A/C system) the Right Front Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G386- is not installed. The opening in the air duct is not present or is closed with a plug.
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
- Removing and Installing. Refer to RIGHT FRONT UPPER BODY VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G386-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Fresh Air Blower -V2- with Fresh Air Blower Control Module -J126-
- There are different versions.
- Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function
- Removing and Installing. Refer to FRESH AIR BLOWER -V2- WITH FRESH AIR BLOWER CONTROL MODULE -J126-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Dust and Pollen Filter (with or without Activated Charcoal Filter Element)
- Follow the replacement intervals. Refer to the MAINTENANCE (INTERVALS), DIAGNOSIS (1 OF 2) / MAINTENANCE (INTERVALS), DIAGNOSIS (2 OF 2) .
- There are different versions.
-- With activated charcoal filter element. There is an Air Quality Sensor -G238- installed on these vehicles. Refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER WITH ACTIVATED CHARCOAL INSERT, INFORMATION .
- Removing and Installing. Refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
.NOTE:
There are different versions of the dust and pollen filter without and with filter insert with activated charcoal. On vehicles without an A/C system (only with a heater) and on vehicles with a "Low" A/C system currently a dust and pollen filter without a filter element with activated charcoal is installed. On vehicles with a "High" A/C system currently a dust and pollen filter with a filter element with activated charcoal is installed.
