Engine, Supporting In Installation Position
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Engine Support Bridge :10-222A
- Tensioning Strap :T10038
Procedure
Risk of injury due to the engine weight shifting.
Parts of the body could be crushed.
- Only support the engine when the transmission and tunnel crossmember are removed.
-- Install the engine cover and heat shield. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left and right covers for the fender. Refer to OVERVIEW - FENDER .
-- Position the :10-222B on the left and right side of the longitudinal member for the upper wheel housing.
-- Engage the :10-222A/11 at the left and right on the engine lifting eyes.
-- Tension the engine with the spindles slightly until the engine mount is not under a load.
-- If the transmission should be removed, loop the : T10038 as shown in the engine lifting eyes -1 and 2- and on the : 10-222A/3 and tighten.
Assembling
Assemble in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- Install the heat shield and engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
