Windshield Spray Pattern, Checking, Wet Wiper Arm

The wet wiper arms are equipped with multiple nozzles. To check the spray pattern, the front nozzles -1- for the upward and downward movement on each wiper arm must be checked.

Procedure  :

-- Activate the windshield washer system and assess the spray pattern.

• For the upward and downward movement of the wiper arms, the stream of the frontmost upper or lower nozzle -arrows- must hit the window glass at a separate distance -point-.
• The nozzle stream must hit the windshield and may not go over the window edge.
• Window cleaning fluid must also come out of the remaining nozzles on the wiper arms during upward and downward movement.

-- If the spray pattern does not meet these specifications, adjust the spray nozzles. Refer to WINDSHIELD SPRAY PATTERN, ADJUSTING, WET WIPER ARM .
