Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera -R242-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- To prevent damage, cover the upper edge of the interior rearview mirror with adhesive tape.

-- Unclip the cover -1- using the clip release lever from the Scraper Set:VAS6845  -arrows A, B and C- by carefully inserting the clip release lever between the windshield and the cover.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Disengage the front cover and remove toward the rear.

-- Place the screwdriver -2- to the retaining pin as shown and slowly remove the front camera -1- from the retaining pins -5-.

-- Remove the front camera from the side guide at the baseplate -3-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4- and remove the front camera.

-- Free up the connector -4- and disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Press the retainers in the direction of -arrow- and remove the lens -2- downward from the baseplate -1-.
