Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera, Calibrating, Dynamic Calibration (Calibration Drive)
Calibrating the front camera is necessary:
- The installation position of the Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera -R242- in the vehicle has changed.
- Rear axle toe/chamber was adjusted.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Calibration Conditions
- DTC memory is without relevant entry.
Procedure
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:
- Diagnostic-capable systems
- 00A5 - Driver Assistance Systems Control Module, MFK3
- 00A5 - Functions
- 00A5 - Calibration
-- Start the selected program and based on the calibration from a short drive, follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
Dynamic Calibration of Several Driver Assistance Systems
The front camera and the other driver assistance systems can alternatively be calibrated together during the calibration run, to do so, select the following tree structure:
- Diagnostic-capable systems
- 00A5 - Driver Assistance Systems Control Module, MFK3
- 00A5 - Functions
- 00A5 - Dynamic Calibration of several Driver Assistance Systems
-- Start the selected program and based on the calibration from a short drive, follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
