Electronic Control Unit

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a pre-programmed computer. Its function is to process the incoming signal from each sensor to determine air volume (by airflow sensor), engine speed, engine temperature, air temperature and throttle position. From this information, ECU determines correct injection time and quantity. See Figure.
