    • In many cases, the leak detector is not sufficient when checking leaks in air conditioning system components. The leak detector is unable to detect very minor leaks. In cases of difficult access, it may also not be possible to locate a leak precisely with the leak detector. Test adapters have been developed so that the air conditioning components can be checked for leaks with a pressure test.
    • Slowly pressurize the evaporator to a maximum of 10 bar. Be sure to follow all safety precautions when working with compressed gas.
    • A gauge set to be used with compressed nitrogen is in the process of production. It will be sent out via the ATS program as soon as it is available. Look for a Group 04 SIB.
    • For test details, refer to SI B64 01 08 and the Repair Manual Group 64.
