SITUATION

Distribution of the following cables will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional cables may be purchased through your PDC.

AFS test cable

Used to troubleshoot the electric coolant (1) pumps.

Used to troubleshoot active steering (AFS). The test cable is connected between the AFS (1) and the vehicle wiring harness (2).

Seat test cable

Used to test the seat function (out of vehicle) on E90 vehicles.

All engine-wiring harnesses are equipped with connectors from various suppliers (Kostal, Tyco or Bosch). These connectors are coded differently. This test harness is zero coded which allows the testing of sensors and actuators such as the coolant temp sensor (1).
