Basic Power Flow Example
As an example of power flow in reverse gear, planetary gear carrier (4) is held stationary. The sun gear (3) is driven in a clockwise direction. The planetary pinions (2) are driven counterclockwise, which in turn drives the internal ring gear (1) counter clockwise as well. See Fig 1.
