Principle of Operation: Monitoring
The DWA monitors the following signals:
- Door and lid signals (trunk lid and hood contact)
- Vehicle interior (USIS)
- Vehicle inclination tilt
- DWA-Bus line leading to emergency siren (SINE)
- Voltage supply for vehicle electrical system (SINE)
- Voltage level at the emergency siren (SINE)
- Battery distribution switch
The DWA continues to evaluate the following vehicle operating states so that it can adapt its sensitivity to increase safety against false alarms.
- Status of independent ventilation (parked car ventilation)
- Position of windows
- Position of sunroof
Open windows, for example, lower the sensitivity of the operating threshold.
