Changing Differential Oil
Only change the oil when the differential has been warmed to operating temperature.
Remove drain plug (1)
Remove filler plug (2)
Drain differential oil.
Re-insert drain plug with new sealing ring (1) and tighten to 70 Nm.
Add differential oil until overflowing from fill opening. (M5 and Z8 use SAF-XJ 83 22 1 470 080). Approximate quantity 1.4 liters.
Re-insert filler plug with new sealing ring and tighten to 70 Nm.
