SUBJECT

Battery Discharged by Lamp Module

SITUATION

Battery discharged, vehicle will not start.

CAUSE

The Lamp Module (LM) sends an incorrect bulb status message to the power module (PM) (i.e. bulbs on even though they are off). The Power Module (PM) is then unable to disconnect and the battery is discharged

PROCEDURE

Code the LM using CIP V 11.2 or a more recent version. Refer to SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization and Programming) Procedure E.
