Test Cable Conversion

SITUATION

A minor conversion to the E90 3 pin test cable PN 612 390 (SI B04 12 05 ) will allow the test cable to be used for additional testing such as Vanos solenoid valves. The conversion avoids additional cable costs.

The upper left housing must be removed.

Carefully remove the seal (1) in the direction of the arrow using special tool 610 324. Do not damage the seal. It must be replaced when finished.

Rest the contact housing face on a firm surface. Unlock the front and rear of the outside housing by using special tool 610 324 while pressing down.

Pull the contact housing (1) out of the housing (2) in the direction of the arrow. It may be necessary to unlock the housing again when it slides 90% off.

Carefully reinstall the seal (1) in the groove (2) without damaging it.
