Tire Pressure Monitor System REINITIALIZATION

CAUTION: When driving with snow chains or a space-saver spare tire, DO NOT initialize the system.
NOTE: If yellow TPMS indicator lights up shortly after a reset has been made, this indicates that the corrected values were not accurate. Please check the inflation pressure again, and reactivate the system.
  1. Set the tire pressure of all wheels to specification.
  2. Start the engine, but do not begin to drive.
    • FTM:  Press the TPMS reset button for at least 4 seconds, but not longer than 2 minutes. After the button is released, the TPMS indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up for a few seconds. See Fig 1.
    • TPM:  Press TPMS reset button until the TPMS indicator lamp in the instrument cluster comes on for several seconds or the message "SET TIRE PRESSURE" appears in the Check Control. See Fig 1.
  3. Drive vehicle. Initialization is automatically completed during the drive, without any additional feedback.
