Comfort access system: Notes

Comfort Access is available as optional equipment SA322.

For vehicles with comfort access, the remote key will be called an ID transmitter.

The comfort access makes it possible to unlock and lock the vehicle without the active use of the ID transmitter. The vehicle automatically recognizes the ID transmitter near the vehicle or inside of the passenger compartment.

The entire control of the comfort access occurs in the front electronic module (FEM). The front electronic module is the master control unit for the central locking system and also responsible for the comfort access.

The comfort access supports the following functions:

• Ground lights
• Unlocking and locking the vehicle
• Convenient closing of the side windows and slide/tilt sunroof
• Unlock tailgate separately
• Contact-free tailgate opening
• Close soft top.
