General notes on DSC Mk60E5: Notes
The DSC unit contains 5 internal pressure sensors and valves with variable characteristic curves for the flow rate: so-called "analogized" solenoid valves. The characteristic curves for the flow rate must be learned (calibrated).
A longitudinal acceleration sensor is integrated on the printed circuit board of the control unit (not M5 and M6).
M5 and M6: The longitudinal acceleration signal is transferred from the gearbox via the PT-CAN to the DSC control unit. The version of the DSC sensor for vehicles with active steering delivers redundant signals (2 for yaw rate, 2 for lateral acceleration).
The control unit has been completely revised and contains new functions:
- Drive-off assistant
- Brake standby
- Dry braking
- Increase in the brake pressure on fading
- Soft stop
