Loose Screw Connection On Operating Lever Of Turbine Control Flap

Description

On vehicles with N57D30S1, it is possible that the nuts on the screw connection of the operating lever for the turbine control flap can become loose.

The turbine control flap does not close fully as a result. The consequence is lack of power in the lower engine speed range (up to approx. 2500 - 3000 rpm), usually in combination with the fault code entry 4530/244C00, Charging pressure too low. This particularly affects the turbine control flap with the part number 8 516 124 (production period March 2013 to May 2013). The following figure shows the operating lever and the screw connection.
