Structure and inner electrical connection

The controller (CON) is connected with a four-pin and/or four-pin plug connection to the vehicle electrical system and K-CAN and/or K-CAN2 (depending on series and model year).

The locator lighting (terminal 58g) for the controller is controlled by the Front Electronic Module (FEM) via K-CAN.

The controller is supplied with power from the front power distribution box with terminal 30B.

The illustration below shows the power supply for the example of the basic version (optional equipment SA663 "Radio BMW Professional").

Pin assignments 

The illustrations above show only the supply and bus connection. The current pin assignment is recorded on the wiring diagrams in the ISTA diagnosis system (Integrated Service Technical Application). Click on the component code in the wiring diagram to activate the "Installation location" and "Pin assignment" tabs.
