Ambient Sensor & Switch

The ambient sensor and ambient sensor switch are mounted as an assembly on the air conditioning housing. This unit senses the temperature of the air entering the evaporator core. The switch contacts will be open below 32°F and will prevent compressor operation for air conditioning until higher ambient temperatures are reached. At all higher temperatures, the switch will be closed and the compressor will operate where any mode is selected other than "OFF" or "ECONOMY".
