Power Recliner Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the recliner motor (168) to bracket (165), if removed. See Figure . Install bolts (169).
  2. Connect cable housing (167) to gearbox (166), being careful that the cable housing (167) fits correctly and does not crimp. See Figure .
  3. Install bracket (165) to gearbox (166), being careful to attach bracket (165) correctly. Install the bolts (164).See Figure .
  4. Install the recliner assembly (170). Install the bolts (183).See Figure .
  5. Install the recliner assembly bolts (159). Tighten bolts (183) and recliner assembly bolts (159). See Figure . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Install seatback cover. See POWER RECLINE SEAT COVERS & CUSHIONS  .
  7. Connect recliner motor electrical connector (182). See Figure .
  8. Install the seats. See FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY  .
