Remote Door Locking Test
- Disconnect Remote Accessory Control (RAC) module 9-pin connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
- On Park Avenue and Park Avenue Ultra, put gear selector in Park. Ensure battery voltage is present between connector terminal "D" (Black wire) and ground. No voltage should be present with gear selector in any other position.
- If battery voltages are not as indicated, check fuse and wiring for an open or short circuit to ground. Check in-line connectors for good terminal contact. If fuse and wiring are okay, adjust or replace park/neutral position switch.
- On all models, use an ohmmeter and ensure a good ground is present at connector terminal "K" (Black wire). If not, check wiring for an open circuit. Ensure continuity to ground does not exist at connector terminal "B" (Gray wire). If continuity to ground is present, check wiring for a short to ground.
- Use an ohmmeter and check resistance between connector terminal "E" (Light Blue wire) and door lock relay connector terminal "A" (Light Blue wire). Less than 3 ohms should be present. If more than 3 ohms are present, check wiring to door lock relay assembly for an open circuit.
- If all checks are okay, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If contact is okay, replace RAC module.
