Receiver Programming

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 1993 Chevrolet Caprice, 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, 1992 Chevrolet Caprice, 1992 Buick Roadmaster, and 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Move trim located in left side of trunk to gain access to programming connector. See Fig 1 . Use a jumper wire and ground programming connector. Door locks and rear trunk lid lock will cycle. This indicates receiver is in program mode.
  2. Press any button once on transmitter. Door locks and trunk lock will cycle once to ensure transmitter code is programmed. Receiver is now programmed to transmitter. Previously programmed codes are erased.
  3. If programming a receiver to match a second transmitter, do not disconnect program connector jumper wire. Press any button once on second transmitter. Door locks and trunk lock will cycle once to ensure transmitter code is programmed.
  4. Disconnect programming connector. System will not operate unless ground connection jumper wire is removed. Ensure transmitter is operating properly. Reposition trunk trim assembly.
