Test Description

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 1993 Chevrolet Caprice, 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, 1992 Chevrolet Caprice, 1992 Buick Roadmaster, and 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Operating door lock switches will isolate transmitter/receiver problem.
  2. Checks for unlock signal at keyless entry receiver.
  3. Checks for voltage on circuit No. 694. Voltage on circuit No. 694 would prevent driver's door lock motor from locking.
  4. Checks that keyless entry receiver applies voltage to circuit No. 694 when unlock request is present.
  5. Checks that keyless entry receiver grounds circuit No. 694 to enable a lock request.
  6. Checks for an open in circuits No. 694 or 295 to driver's door lock motor.
