Remote Keyless Entry Lock/Unlock Isolation Test
- Connect Tech 1 with body cartridge to Data Link Connector (DLC). Command Tech 1 to unlock all doors. If doors do not unlock, go to REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST .
- If doors do unlock, input Tech 1 to lock all doors. If doors do not lock, go to REMOTE DOOR LOCKING TEST . If doors lock, command Tech 1 to unlock driver's door only. If driver's door does not unlock, go to LEFT FRONT DOOR ISOLATION RELAY TEST .
- If driver's door unlocks, set Tech 1 to monitor transmitter signals received by RAC module. Press all transmitter buttons. If Tech 1 recognizes some but not all buttons, repeat test using second transmitter supplied with vehicle. If Tech 1 recognizes all buttons, ensure Remote Accessory Control (RAC) module connector makes good terminal contact. If connector is okay, replace transmitter. If Tech 1 recognizes some but not all buttons, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module.
