Test P - Data Line

  1. Perform ABS/TCS functional check before proceeding. See Figure . Turn ignition off. Disconnect EBCM/EBTCM electrical connector. Connect Pinout Box (J-38716).
  2. Measure resistance between pinout box pin No. 19 and DLC terminal No. 4. See Figure and Figure . Resistance should be less than 2 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, check and repair open in circuit No. 251 (Black/White wire).
  3. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between pinout box pins No. 19 and 42. Voltage should be 5 volts. If voltage is not as specified, check for open or short to ground in circuit No. 800 (Tan wire).
  4. If all measurements are correct, check EBCM/EBTCM connector for proper terminal contact. If contact is okay, replace EBCM/EBTCM.
