Code P1530, A/C Head Pressure Switch: Notes

A/C head pressure switch opens at 200-220 psi. When head pressure switch interrupts ground at PCM, left fan should run at high speed.

Code P1530 will set when the following conditions are present.

Fan request circuit is grounded during first 6 seconds of engine run time.
Engine coolant temperature is less than 88°F (31°C).
Ambient air temperature is less than 82°F (28°C).
RPM is less than 1800.
Codes P0101, P0112, P0113, P0117 or P0118 are not set.
All above conditions must be met at the same time.

If Code P1530 is set, cooling fan(s) will run at high speed anytime A/C is requested. Code P1530 does not illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
