Remote Keyless Entry/Theft Deterrent System Will Not Arm

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lock all doors. Backprobe Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Theft Deterrent Module (RCDLR/TDM) connector between terminal C13 (Light Green wire) and voltage. If test light lights, repair short to ground in Light Green wire.
  2. If test light does not light, connect test light between RCDLR/TDM terminal C10 (White wire) and ground. If test light lights, check for shorted door lock switches. If switches are okay, check for short to voltage in White wire.
  3. If test light does not light, check for CCM diagnostic trouble codes 22, 23, 24, and 25. See ENTERING & EXITING DIAGNOSTICS  under TESTING - CENTRAL CONTROL MODULE (CCM). If Tan wire at CCM terminal B10 is constantly grounded, SECURITY SYSTEM indicator will stay off after arming and disarming theft deterrent system when using door lock switches/transmitter. With Tan wire grounded, theft deterrent function will not arm, and courtesy lights will be on all the time.
