Transmitter/Module Isolation Test

  1. Connect Tech 1 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Set Tech 1 RAC data list function select TRANSMITTER 1 and TRANSMITTER 2. Press any transmitter button. If Tech 1 indicates a signal is received by RAC module, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module. See REMOTE ACCESSORY CONTROL (RAC) MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Program new RAC. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE  .
  2. If Tech 1 does not indicate a signal is received by RAC module, repeat test using another transmitter. If Tech 1 indicates a signal is received by RAC module, replace suspect transmitter. If Tech 1 does not indicate a signal is received by RAC module, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module.
